About the Plain Language Big Book

A Message From our Delegate

Dear Area 45 Members,

The Plain Language Big Book: A Tool for Reading Alcoholics Anonymous is expected to be available for purchase on the General Service Office (GSO) website today. As of 7:30 a.m., it still needs to be listed, but it should be live by 9:00 a.m. EST.

Currently, there is a pre-order listing on Amazon for $22.00. Please note that this listing is not from Alcoholics Anonymous World Services (AAWS). While AAWS plans to eventually make this book available on Amazon, they have yet to do so, as they did not offer pre-sales. Once AAWS officially lists the book on Amazon, it will clearly show AAWS as the seller, which ensures it is an official version and will likely be offered at a lower price.

In the meantime, for those interested in an electronic version, the book is currently available through Apple Books, sold by Alcoholics Anonymous.

This information is provided so you can understand and help those interested in purchasing this resource. This is not an endorsement to buy or not buy the book or to suggest where one has to buy the book if they are buying it.

This report is a comprehensive summary of the work done at the Conference and is a valuable resource for all members. If you prefer a paper Conference Report, please be patient: Area 45 Delegate Wendy has ordered 50 for our Area, but we will not receive them for a month or two.
